I started with the earliest ones and devoted a couple of weekends to scanning them in. I've copied all those to a CD and put it in my safe deposit box. I was nowhere near finished when we received a box of photos from a great-aunt who had died at 100+. My mom, sister, and I went through them, and Mom was able to identify maybe half the people. I started scanning those in but didn't make much headway yet, and there are all the photos from since I became an adult that also need to be scanned in.<BR/><BR/>So, FWIW, my suggestion would be to sort them by date as much as you can and then, either before you scan them or while you're scanning them, write on the back of every one the names, date, place, event, etc., for the benefit of people way in the future who may be looking at them.<BR/><BR/>And have fun!Janhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17778878342861672053noreply@blogger.com
