Ten Things I Love About My Dad ... In No Particular Order
>> Monday, December 01, 2008

1. I am the youngest of three girls, and probably the girliest of them all, but my dad never wanted a boy.
2. My dad thinks I am the smartest person in the world (although he probably thinks the same thing about both my sisters too).
3. My dad ends every telephone call with "I love you."
4. My dad has never voted for a Republican, and was extremely proud to vote for Barack Obama.
5. My dad thinks there is nothing I can't do, just because I am a woman. In fact, I think that my dad thinks I am smarter and more capable BECAUSE I am a woman.
6. My dad is 82 years old, and sometimes drives me crazy because he doesn't know how to act his age.
7. My dad is always looking out for me.
8. My dad isn't a grumpy old man, yet.
9. My dad is a good person - honest, compassionate, patient, and open-minded. I'd want to know him even if he wasn't my dad.
10. My dad is, well, my dad. He has helped make me the person that I am.

His corny jokes don't even make the list, huh?! *sniff*
Such as when someone stood in front of the tv & blocked his view:
"I know you're a pane, but I can't see through you."
I'm STILL cringing at some of them. ha (Actually, I mostly loved them)
